Empowering Men to Rebuild, Grow, and Thrive
At Roanoke Chowan Christian Men’s Job Corp, we provide life-changing opportunities through faith, job skills training, and mentorship. Our Christ-centered programs help men discover their potential, regain confidence, and build a meaningful future.
Mission Statement
We are a supportive community of Christians on God’s journey to help men who desire to improve their life skills through training, Bible study, prayer and mentoring.
Programs & Services
At Roanoke Chowan Christian Men’s Job Corps (RCCMJC), our programs are designed to empower men to rebuild their lives, deepen their faith, and achieve lasting success:
Job Skills Training
Our hands-on workshops provide practical skills needed for today’s job market, including resume writing, interview techniques, and workplace communication, helping men gain confidence and secure meaningful employment.
Mentorship Program
Mentoring is about developing trust and caring about one another in an honest relationship. In the Corps, we start with goal setting and focusing on the abilities and assets we have available. Over time, we trust that the mentoring process will produce a clear purpose and vision for our future.
Bible Study & Prayer
Bible Study is an integral part of the Christian Men’s Corps program. Adopting and living out the concepts we find in the Scriptures helps all Corps men to build up their relationships with God, self, others and their resources.
Life Skills Workshops
Our workshops cover essential life skills such as financial management, goal setting, and conflict resolution, empowering men to live independently, manage their resources wisely, and make positive life choices.
Networking & Job Placement
We help men connect with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to create employment opportunities, expand their professional networks, and support their journey toward sustainable careers.

About Us
Roanoke Chowan Christian Men’s Job Corps (RCCMJC) is a Christ-centered ministry established in 2023, dedicated to empowering men to grow spiritually, rebuild their lives, and achieve meaningful employment. As a registered ministry under the Women’s Missionary Union and a 501(c)(3) organization under the covering of The Gathering Place Ahoskie, we are committed to equipping men with the tools they need to live out their God-given purpose through faith, fellowship, and practical development. Our ministry is guided by our Site Coordinator, Woody Baker, who works closely with our team to transform lives through the power of Christ.
