About us
Vision Statement
Our pursuit is to encourage women to realize their full potential by empowering them to map out their own goals, while we stand alongside them to help accomplish the goals they have created for themselves. As Christians, leaders, and a program supporting women, we strive to help them navigate a path through the roadblocks they encounter.
About us
Mission Statement
The mission of Roanoke Chowan Christian Women’s Job Corps is to provide a Christian context for women empowerment, in which women in need are equipped not only for employment, but for life.
The women's Job Corps is now accepting applications and conducting interviews throughout December 2024 for classes beginning in January 2025.

Programs to progress
We are a group of professional and retired women who want other women to reach their goals and gain self-esteem and independence. We offer a positive environment full of encouragement, mentorship, classes, transportation assistance, tuition, access to necessities, a transitional house and more.
We operate a transitional house for women who are in our program and in need – providing a place to stay as they work on their goals. We’re helping women get back on their feet!

Pat Byrd, Executive Director
Independent Living.
We meet women where they are. More often than not, these women are in the middle of a life change, and what they really need is a solid support system. That’s why we offer transitional housing for those who need help getting back on their feet. Space is limited – contact us to learn more!
